The full menu at Impala will feature tacos consisting of homemade corn tortillas filled with a variety of proteins, including lengua, roasted chicken, and their homemade “chorifu,” a vegan tofu-based chorizo. Appetizers will include traditional items like queso fundido and elote (grilled corn rolled in aioli and cotija cheese), and more creative items like the chicken wings mole featuring a habanero crema. Entrees also range from traditional to less so, from carne asada and chile relleno to a “Sonoran Hot Dog” wrapped in bacon and topped with beans, pico and cheese.

The space is decked out with custom-made furniture and fixtures from Tonalá, Mexico — a town famous for its artisan craftwork. Be sure to check out the ornately carved bar upstairs and the gorgeous lanterns throughout — just a few of the many details designed give the place an authentic Mexican feel.
